I was confused until I read that it needs 2 AA batteries. All I can say is it was a bad purchase. Batteries aren’t eco-friendly, and I should have looked more carefully and opted for a corded model instead.
The quality of construction isn’t the best; you can tell it would likely come apart if dropped. However, the power and speed are sufficient for my needs. I’ve noticed that if I use it for more than a minute, it tends to get warm, so I'm being mindful of these small quality issues that could affect its longevity.
It’s pretty okay—it gets the job done, but it feels like it lacks the power to create the froth I prefer. On the plus side, it’s easy to rinse and clean and doesn’t make much noise.
Today, while using it (since I still haven’t ordered a replacement), it suddenly made a funny noise and then started working much better—no changes were made, so maybe something was stuck. I’ll update again after I see how long this improvement lasts.
I initially purchased this after breaking the frother I’d used for years. These looked cute, but unfortunately, they don't perform well for their intended purpose. I tried different batteries, but it didn’t help—it’s just too weak. It creates some bubbles if held right at the surface, but it’s not strong enough to properly froth or stir any powdered substances into liquids. My previous frother worked for years mixing small glasses of instant protein, but this one falls short. The problem seems to be in the design—there’s no flex where the stirrer connects to the handle, so the motion is greatly reduced. My advice is to look elsewhere.
I got this to mix my coffee with protein powder since it usually turns out lumpy, and it works great! It froths really well too. The only downside is that it didn’t come with the 2 AA batteries it needs, but aside from that, it’s perfect for everyday frothing needs. It’s quiet, seems fairly durable, and is super easy to rinse off—and spinning off the excess water is kind of fun too!
